Visitors may use the World Privacy Forum Web site without disclosing personal information about themselves if they so choose. The servers that host the included Web site include server logs that tell us what parts of the site are visited. The server logs include by default the IP addresses of those who have visited the site. We do not review IP addresses.
The World Privacy Forum makes a good faith effort to use information given to us only for the original purposes for which it was provided. We do not sell or share information for marketing purposes. When any individual provides us with personal information in connection with our business activities, that information may be used or disclosed for reasonable business purposes. However, personal information provided by consumers who call for help or for information will ordinarily not be disclosed in identifiable form without the consent or knowledge of the individual.
We may disclose information you have given us when required by law, in response to a subpoena, or if served with a search warrant. If appropriate, feasible, and lawful we will make reasonable attempts (via telephone or email) tell the data provider and/or data subject about any of these disclosures, either before or after they occur.
The World Privacy Forum maintains a media mailing list for members of the media. The World Privacy Forum sends press releases, consumer alerts, reports, and other news items to the list. For those who elect to sign up for the media list, the list requires an email address, and we also ask for the name of the relevant media outlet. During the sign-up process, we may email you and ask you your name and/or media outlet, as the list is for members of the media only.
We outsource a portion of the subscription/unsubscription and maintenance of the media list to Listbox, a company based in Philadelphia. Listbox’s servers host the subscriber information, which is the subscription email address. Listbox also hosts the user preferences, such as mailing preferences.
Users may unsubscribe from the list at any time by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org
The World Privacy Forum does not sell its media list. If you would like to sign up for the media list anonymously, please contact us by phone.

Any individual who provides the World Privacy Forum with personal data may ask us to correct, update, or delete the information. If the request reasonable, we will comply with the request.
