The World Privacy Forum will be speaking several times during the International Conference of Data Protection & Privacy Commissioners in Hong Kong; here’s the schedule, below; we look forward to meeting or catching up with those of you attending, please come by and say hello.

  • Monday 25 September: European Data Protection Supervisor side meeting/conference, WPF attending.
  • Monday 25 September: Public Voice event: ED Pam Dixon will be speaking about her recent article in the peer-reviewed Springer-Nature journal, Health & Technology, also published (Open Access) in the Harvard-based journal, Technology Science. The article, A Failure to Do No Harm, is an original research article about India’s Aadhaar biometric ID ecosystem from 2010 to the present day. (Field research as basis.)   • Wednesday 27 September: Asian Privacy Scholars Network Conference, University of Hong Kong. More information here.
  • Thursday 28 September: ED Pam Dixon is moderating the ICDPPC afternoon panel on consent, data ethics, and the modern data ecosystem (excellent panelists, lots of expertise), and subsequently she will be on a plenary panel later in the day. Details here: https://lnkd.in/gX4HzEC
