WPF and Brookings co-hosting Biometric Roundtable at International Conference of Data Protection and Privacy Commissioners

The World Privacy Forum and the Brookings Institution will co-host a Biometric Roundtable Wednesday, October 23 at the International Data Protection and Privacy Commissioners’ Conference in Tirana, Albania. Cam Kerry of Brookings and Pam Dixon of WPF will co-moderate the discussion.

The purpose of the Biometrics Roundtable is to promote a dialogue between the data protection community, the law enforcement community, and key stakeholders in Europe and other jurisdictions regarding this important topic.

The roundtable will facilitate stakeholders’ ability to network, ask questions, and learn from each other on matters related to privacy and data protection in biometrics systems, with a focus on those used in law enforcement and government contexts.

The Biometrics Roundtable is by invitation only, and will be held Wednesday 23 October, 2019, 7:30-8:45am, at the Rogner Hotel.
